The Kakapo (or owl parrot) is a nocturnal bird. Described as having a face like an owl, the posture of a penguin and the walk of a duck, Hunter has her Kakapo caught in the moon’s spotlight while foraging through night’s forest. Wings combed in feathers coloured caramel and chocolate flex an extravagant display, while Kakapo’s iridescent plumage glows emerald for the moon’s contemplation.
